During this tour, we will visit Port Ghalib – a small tourist resort established just a few years ago. It is a private town funded by the Kharafi family from Kuwait, who invested $2 billion to transform it into the largest tourist and marina complex in the region. Even after multiple visits, one can still admire the incredible achievement of this highly ambitious project. Today, it spans 18 km of desert coastline and covers 8 million square meters of desert – almost the same as all 2,482 Tesco supermarkets in the UK combined.
Discover the story of how desert sands were transformed into a lively port. Stroll along the marina filled with yachts, cafes, live music restaurants, and shops with Arabic specialties. Enjoy a delicious seafood dinner or relax with a sunset drink.
